It has been a long road to here. And now, HERE we are, Senior Year with Shayla blazing her trail! So far it has been a year of fun, of trial, of excitement and of frustration. However, Shayla is quite the young lady. She has participated in Marching Band with the Borah Lions as a French Horn player (mellophone or flugle horn for marching) and regrets not playing in her sophomore and junior years. Music lifts her and I am grateful she chooses (mostly) music that inspires and uplifts her :)
Now she feels stressed, unsure what her future should be, or what it holds and how to get it to be what she wants. Her dream will always be to own and run her own horse ranch. I hope she gets her dream while she is young enough to enjoy the work.
For now, she is filling out college applications, scholarship opportunities, and taking college-entrance exams. I think she feels like "life" is suddenly coming at her too fast and from several directions.
Hang in there Shayla, keep looking forward, and remember to 'look up and kneel down' so you have a clear picture of what you can accomplish.
We are so proud of you!
