Shayla has had a great day today! She went to church for an hour, ate lots of protein and drank lots of water and felt better than she has all week!

Last night was a bit warm for her in the upstairs bedroom, so she opted to sleep on the main floor. That was still too warm. So today at church, I mentioned it and someone in earshot heard it. Now thanks to Lynn H., we have window air conditioners in her room and the boys' upstairs room! She was too cute; when she went up to bed, she came down a few minutes later with the strangest look on her face. She didn't say anything for a few seconds, only looked--strangely! Then she said, "my room is cooler" and smiled. Then she said, "that's all". She is really happy!

Yesterday there was a bit of dark 'stuff' from her nose when she used a tissue. We think it was dead tumor tissue. At least it was a dark brown color. I will be making a call to Dr. Beck tomorrow just so she knows. Remember, no taking things for granted as 'normal' anymore!

Today was really the best I have seen Shayla in weeks! She was happy, strong (went on a family walk with the dog again tonight and didn't need the stroller to hold onto), and engaged with us all afternoon. As a parent, what more could we really want than to know our children are happy, really happy?!
