We're Wishin'!

Okay, so I am VERY tired, but thought it would be good to post some pictures of our first day of Shayla's wish. Besides, Chelen logged on to the internet here in the hotel (without permission), so now we are being charged $10.76 for 24 hours of internet use. grrrr!

After an hour of sleep for me (trying to get us all ready was quite a chore!), and none for Jase since he had to work, our neighbors loaded us in our cars and drove us to the airport at 6:00 a.m. to get on the plane.

"First time for everything", so they say:

On the plane for the first time in their life: Elloryn, Mariah & Chelen. It was all excitement once we finally got on board. But before we even taxied away from the terminal, Elloryn proceeded to throw up all over me and herself! Thank heavens we didn't eat breakfast before we left!!!! Who knows why she did it, but my guess is that she was just way too tired and overstimulated too early in the morning, and it caught up to her. The rest of the flights were thankfully uneventful! But can I just say here, I really didn't like the take-off from Denver? There was so much rough and tumble turbulence that I was singing primary songs to calm my own jitters.

First Limo ride--the real kind!

We got into San Antonio just after 3p.m. and our driver was waiting with a sign that said "S. French!" He helped us with our bags and escorted us to the parking garage (underground, in the shade reserved for s-t-r-e-t-c-h limousines!! Holy cow! We are driving the wrong kind of car, a limo fits all of us, with seatbelts for each! Johnny was our driver. Nice guy, but quiet and business-like in my opinion. Our first limo ride was a short 15 minutes from airport to hotel. That's a different story...

The Hyatt.

We were driven up to the entrance and a whole slew of men were opening doors, welcoming us to the hotel and unloading our bags from the car to the rack. shoot! how much and which ones do you tip?! This would be a confusing lifestyle. I'll take being a regular 'schmo' for the long term, but for now, we are having a great time being Idaho Spuds in the ritzy Hyatt Regency!

So, our rooms were supposed to be two with 2 double beds and a roll-away to sleep us all. Well, we got more than that! This is the SUITE life. I thought the bell hop led us to the wrong room because we have 3 large flat screen t.v.'s, a great view of the lobby fountain and easy access to the pool (on the roof--the same level we have been put in!). Make-A-Wish has been so great to us, beyond belief!

We have already taken a swim in the pool, sat in the jacuzzi and walked a little on the Riverwalk and had dinner at The Republic of Texas steakhouse (funny though, the only steaks ordered were 3 chicken fried steaks). We are all exhausted. to say the least. Thankfully tomorrow is Sunday. We get to rest! We definitely need it so we are ready to go country. So, I will post some pictures from today so you can share in our experiences so far.
