Shayla has done much better today eating and drinking water! Her intake today consisted of cantaloupe and bananas for breakfast, jello for lunch, and 2 pieces of pepperoni pizza for dinner! She had 1 liter of water, and a little bit of milk. We'll call that good for today! Her spirits were a bit better. She spoke more to us and was able to get a nice soak in Mom and Dad's big tub. A bath is so nice when you feel ill!
The nausea was a bit more persistent today, so we are on a new med to counteract that (Phenergan). One day at a time, just one day at a time!
Medications: Decadron, Zofran, Bactrim, Hydrocodone,
EMLA cream, Phenergan, Neupigen, and more to add later! These are just the post-chemo session drugs!
Shayla has so many meds in our cabinet! We are very grateful for good insurance. One of her meds she will need after each chemo treatment costs $2192.87 each time she needs it(that's 14 times--you can do the math) !!!! Our copay is only $10--Phew!!
HAIR STYLES/CUTS/ETC>
Shayla has decided how she wants to cut her hair before it falls out: she wants a 'buzz'! We will see how she feels and "get 'er done" this weekend if she is up to it. Whether she uses her own hair for a wig in the future or not, she hasn't determined. However, whatever she does, it will be something to remember!
