exhausting

It has been a long day. Shayla has come through her lumbar puncture (LP), and bone marrow biopsy well. Tonight she is sore more from those procedures than from the Power port implant surgery on her shoulder (actually, it is placed behind her collar bone). Here is an interesting tidbit of info: the PowerPort is purple, no matter who gets one. Not that it matters since it is an implant, therefore not visible once it is in!

We are tired. Tomorrow Shayla starts chemo. We report to the hospital at 8:00 a.m.

Our youngest 2 children are starting to react to the stress with their own clingy-ness and pouting. I pray all the kids will be blessed to not feel too slighted during this ordeal!

I've been thinking about Shayla and all of you this weekend...and fasting. I hope your report after this first round comes soon so we know how you are doing.

Love ya guys! T

The worst part of the first round of chemo is probably the headaches, and these are probably more related to the Lumbar Puncture and/or bone marrow biopsy than the chemo.

Shayla, everyday, every minute, remember that there are many people all over this country who believe about you the same thing Christopher Robin believed about Pooh! AND, we all love you more!!
